This song came to Daniel Sahad in his sleep when he needed its message most, with a drowsily sang voice memo still in his pocket. It is about self-realization, ownership and the understanding that not all love we receive is the rightful love deserved. There are however bits of magic and growth in surrendering to the momentary joy of something that ultimately wont last. You must let yourself dance, if even for a moment.

It was recorded at Electric Deluxe Recorders in Austin, TX and was produced by John Speice IV (Grupo Fantasma/Brownout). It was engineered and mixed by Adrian Quesada (Black Pumas) and mastered by Erik Wofford.

With a quickly cultivated following on the Austin live circuit, indie-R&B outfit Nané stay true to passionate positivity on their anthemic debut single out now called “Always On My Mind”. Led with a cheeky, charming music video directed by Rebecca Mendoza that shows romance at its most authentic self. It features former Vine star Jed Lee in the ideal awkward role as love for his dream girl blossoms in real time. Lead singer Daniel Sahad wonderfully explains, “I think we’re conditioned to pursue love. Sometimes we find it in the wrong place, but even the wrongest of places have something to celebrate.”
